Pu Luong, also called Phu Luong, was recognized one of Nature Reserves in the Northwestern of Thanh Hoa province. It is not only the habitat of plentiful of flora, but the living environment of many species of fauna as well. With an area of 17,662 ha, Pu Luong Nature Reserve is ideal place for developing main types of Vietnam tourism.
Pu Luong (alternatively called Phu Luong) is one of nature reserves located in Quan Hoa and Ba Thuoc districts in north-western of Thanh Hoa Province. Pu Luong shares the boreder with Mai Chau, Tan Lac and Lac Son districts of Hoa Binh Province to the North-east. Covering total area of 17,662ha, Pu Luong Nature Reserve is ideal for developing main types of tourism such as trekking and mountain biking, etc.
The Nature Reserve is situated along two parallel mountain ridges running from the north-west to the south-west. In the middle of the nature reserve is a valley that separates it into two parts. This valley is the settlements of several local people and a large area of agricultural land.
Pu Luong is the habitat of plentiful of flora. It possesses the primary forest, which can be regarded as closed evergreen tropical seasonal forest. A diverse flora covers the forest with at least 1,109 vascular plant species. Besides, three primary forest subtypes found at the site also play an important role, including primary lowland forest on limestone and schist/shale, primary coniferous submontane forest on limestone and primary submontane forest on basalt.
Furthermore, Pu Luong is also the living environment of total of 84 mammal species, in which there are 24 bat species, 162 bird species, 55 fish species, 28 reptile species, 13 amphibian species, 158 species of butterfly and 96 species of land snail. Here is an important place for the safeguarding of Delacour's Leaf Monkey.

Hanoi - Mai Chau and Pu Luong Trekking Adventure 5 Days
Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau – Pu Luong (Lunch, Dinner)
From your hotel in Hanoi, you will be picked up by guide and driver then depart from Hanoi to Mai Chau. After 3,5 hours of driving, arrive in Pom Coong village. Next, take a short walk to visit the ethnic Thai village and interact with local people. Enjoy lunch at a homestay in Pom Coong village.
In the afternoon, drive to Pu Luong Nature Reserve, stop at Phu Le where you will start your trekking tour from Phu Le to Hang village in about 2.5 hours. Your path is filled with immense rice fields and scattered stilt houses. Spend the night with a local Thai family in a traditional house built on stilts. After dinner, enjoy a traditional dance and unique bamboo tube liquor. Overnight in Hang village.
Day 2: Hang Village – Kho Muong Village (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
In the morning, enjoy breakfast served by Thai people, then start the trekking tour of about 5 to 6 hours. The first hiking is hard with some steep climbs and yet more stream crossings, the next is really glorious with beautiful views of the valley, rice terraces, and rich rainforest.
Have lunch in the jungle on the way to Eco Ken village. Arrive in Kho Muong – the setting of the village is perhaps the most beautiful in Vietnam nestled between steep karst mountains and rice terraces in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Thai stilt house in Kho Muong village.
Day 3: Kho Muong – Hin Village (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Start the second day of hiking after breakfast in the stilt house of Thai people. Trek through the rich forest and beautiful villages including the scenic Kho Muong, with Thai and Muong villages. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the jungle then keep trekking down to Hin village. Tonight, enjoy dinner and overnight in a stilt house of Thai people in Hin village.
Day 4: Hin Village – Ton Village (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Today, leave Hin village after having breakfast at stilt house of Thai people. Start for a full day trek to Ton village. Climb up hard to get in deeper inside the Pu Luong Nature Reserve with wild and rich tropical forest, having picnic lunch on the way.
After lunch, continue your trekking to Ton village, arrive in Ton village in the afternoon. Take a break and stretch your legs on the house on stilt of Thai people or strolling around this village and get in contact with hospitable friendly local people here. Overnight in Ton village.
Day 5: Ton Village – Dong Van village – Hanoi (Breakfast, Lunch)
After breakfast, start the last trek to Dong Van village. Arrive in Dong Van village at around at noon, you will be picked up at Dong Van village, then depart from Dong Van to Hanoi, having lunch on the way back to Hanoi. We will arrive in Hanoi in the late afternoon. Tour ends.

More than 45 days prior to trip departure: No charge (Full refund will be made but transaction fee will be paid by you).
30-45 days before arrival: 10% of total tour price.
15-29 days before arrival: 50% of total tour price.
7-14 days before arrival: 75% of total tour price.
Within 7 days before arrival: 100% tour price.

In case of an unexpected situation/ bad weather causes an effect on your trip after commencement, we serve the right to change the itinerary of your booked tour for the safety of all clients in the group. If there are more than one solution, we will ask for your permission and agreement to do the next step. In such kind of cancellation, the refund of any payment on the un-used portion of transportation service, hotel service, car rental or tours will be given.
